Hiyoooo PiYo!

Lately I've been feeling drained and lazy.  That's what summer vacation can do to you when you're used to going, going, going.  If I'm not on the move, I'm bored....then I get lazy.  Before you know it, I take a 3 hour nap.  ;)  Hahaha... so, I'm getting my butt into gear.  No more lazy days!

With that said, I am SUPER excited about my copy of PiYo getting here ANY DAY!  I'm more excited to feel energized and healthy.  :)

I keep browsing the Beachbody website to see which program I'm going to pick out next.  Wanna take a look around, too?  Check it out!

Got Pretty Nails?...and a freebie!

Do you like pampering yourself during the summer?  I do.  One of my favorite ways to do that is to have a nice, fresh, shiny manicure. I just love perfectly painted nails.

Those Jamberry nail wraps look SO SO SO fun!  I'm a little cheap, so I haven't taken the plunge and ordered any yet.   I also LOVE a gel manicure, but, again... I'm pretty cheap.  My nails DO NOT like regular nail polish.  I'm a crazy mess of chips just hours after I paint them.  Except my toes...they always keep polish on perfectly.  Hm, weird.

So, I'm too cheap for Jamberry...and too cheap for gel manicures.  But, I'm NOT too cheap for this amazing stuff...

Revlon Colorstay Gel Envy!

It is only $5 at Target.  Don't forget the Diamond Top Coat though (also only $5).  It makes your nails super shiny, just like a gel manicure.  And, I tell ya, it lasts long.  You don't need that LED/UV light either.  Polish those puppies, let them dry, and you're good for days.  It definitely isn't the EXACT same as a gel manicure, but it'll last so much longer than regular nail polish. :)

So, this is not teaching related at all...sorry.  I just to share about this nail polish!

Since you read this random post, I'd like to thank you with a couple free digital papers.  The nail polish colors above were pretty inspiring.  Click to grab them!

Happy Sunday!

Crazy Busy!

Hallelujah!  It feels great to be on Summer break!  Right, teachers?!

My summer, so far, has been CRAZY BUSY!  Read all about it!

www.lead21va.com
Of course, like most other teachers, I've taken a lot of my time to do work for school.  I took our Reading program (Lead 21) and did my best to align it to the other content areas.  Lead 21 is so rich in informational text - which is perfect for Social Studies and Science.  I also pulled leveled vocab words for the whole year.  I looked at all of the weekly phonics skills so I can tie them right into independent morning work.  My partner and I decided to do away with Spelling Connections this year and stick to the Lead 21 spelling words.  I tell ya, this is a work in progress, but it'll help us out for this coming school year!

I know I've blogged about my weight loss in past posts.  I haven't really mentioned much about it lately (probably because I've been the BIGGEST blogging slacker ever...).  After a lot of thought, I decided that I wanted to become a Beachbody coach.  I lost over 40 pounds by doing P90X and I am always so tempted to try other Beachbody workouts.  As a teacher, I'm a natural motivator...so, being a coach is perfect for me!

I ended up getting PiYo (you have to check it out!) and Shakeology.  The Shakeology will come in SO handy when it's time to head back to work (July 16th, to be exact....professional developments, ho hum...).  It will be perfect for when I'm running out the door...and it'll keep me satisfied through those looooonnnng PDs.  I'd love your support since this is really new for me.  I hope that I can offer some motivation to other teachers (or anyone) trying to lose weight and be healthy.  :)

I'm going to start a PiYo challenge group on July 7th.  If anyone wants to join in for the accountability and motivation, let me know!

How about a free membership to test it out?  It can't hurt!

Ever thought about becoming a coach?  Although I'm new to it, it seems pretty simple.  Inspire, motivate, help, encourage... those are skills every teacher has, right?  Comment below, check out my coach page, or email me if you have questions!  :) Janet.Riegelmayer@gmail.com

Bye Bye (Hopefully) House!
I decided to put my house up for sale so I've been going crazy fixing, painting, cleaning, and making it pretty.  Don't get me wrong, the house was always clean and pretty.  :)   I ended up having to finish the basement myself (well, with the help of my boyfriend and my dad). I stressed, sweated, and swore A LOT through the whole process....but, I also learned a ton.  Although it was a pain in the butt, it's done and looks great.  And....dun dun dun....it is officially listed and on the market!

I promise to blog more than I have lately.  As always, thanks for reading!

Enjoy your weekend!
